Thermoforming Stockinette

Four-way stretch nylon stockinette developed specifically for thermoforming plastics over polyurethane foam.

Acts as a

  • vacuum wick
  • chill plate (excellent wetability)
  • barrier to keep plastic from sticking

Available in different sizes - large size for spinals (10”-24”)

Mandrel System

Mandrels offer four side positive location, lock down with internal t-nut and may be used for both orthotics and prosthetics.

Complete mandrel system from start to finish.

  • Workbench mandrel to hold the model during modifications and socket extraction.
  • May also be used to duplicate, transfer and finish.
  • Vacuum mandrel has a quick connect fitting and provides vacuum through the mandrel therefore creating vacuum throughout the model.

With these mandrels, you do not have to reclaim your pipe

  • Use thin wall electrical metal tubing (EMT) rather than water pipe
  • EMT is significantly cheaper that black iron or galvanized water pipe
  • You can throw away the pipe with the model
