The BioSculptor® Imager is comprised of a
non-contact optical laser probe with no
internal moving parts. Since the head of the
probe is housed in a fully contained unit,
one inch in diameter, it is capable of
imaging small diameter wraps. The same
probe is used for all imaging, and because
of its high sampling rate, the Imager is
capable of recognizing corners, sharp
angles, trimlines,and marks which have
been placed on the model.
The Imager is comprised of the most advanced laser-digitizing technology. Because it is controlled by standard CNC technology, it can image in variable resolutions. Models, which have been mechanically modified, can be reimaged to include any changes into the patient file. Precise pre-alignment of the model is not required as secondary realignment can be done while using the BioSculptor modification software. |
